Gaza air strike
Israeli aircraft struck the Gaza Strip in retaliation for rocket fire into southern Israel, both sides said.
Palestinian health official Adham Abu Salmia said a missile hit the home of a Gaza militant who was not home at the time, but flying shrapnel wounded a 12-year-old girl and her father in a nearby house.
The Israeli military said it targeted a weapons factory in response to rockets fired by Palestinian militants. The air strike was the latest development in a days-long round of violence that has raised fears of a wider conflict.
