Man escapes prosecution for dragging dog behind car

A 33-year-old man will not face prosecution after a dog was dragged behind a Porsche for more than six miles before being found dead, police in Britain said tonight.

Detectives said they were satisfied that the animal’s death was a “tragic accident” and followed an “extremely unusual set of circumstances”.
