Sarkozy delivering landmark speech on euro future

French President Nicolas Sarkozy was this evening making a speech billed as a "state of the nation" address on the future of the eurozone.

In the closely-watched speech President Sarkozy began by telling the French people that the crisis of sovereign debt was not yet over, and that that the fear which destroys confidence and paralyses consumers is back.
