Eight-year old among four killed in grenade attack
Assailants in the restive southern Philippines threw a grenade into a village house as the occupants gathered to watch TV, killing four people, including an eight-year-old.
Military spokesman Col Leopoldo Galon said about a dozen other people were taken to hospital in the attack in Midsayap township in North Cotabato province.
Hours later, attackers on a motorcycle threw a hand grenade in front of a high school in nearby Tacurong city, wounding two people. Regional police director Felicissimu Khu said the attacks may be linked to a personal grudge.
