Gas blast rocks Canaries hotel

Five people were seriously injured in a gas explosion at a tourist hotel on the Canary island of Gran Canaria today.

Four staff and a guest were caught in the blast as a truck was delivering propane to the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel in the south-west of the island.
