Monti in bid to form Italy Cabinet

Italian premier-designate Mario Monti is holding talks with political leaders, unions and business groups as he tries to put together a Cabinet that can steer the country through its debt crisis.

Despite the speed with which Mr Monti is moving ahead, investors remain nervous and Italy’s borrowing costs rose today, with the yield on 10-year bonds up 0.10 percentage points at 6.68%.
