Clegg proposes EU 'growth test'

EU legislation that fails to boost growth should be given a “red card”, Britian's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said today.

He called for a new “growth test” before laws were passed in Brussels, with regular checks afterwards to ensure growth benefits continued.
