No charges for judge filmed lashing daughter with belt

US federal prosecutors have consulted with police and determined there was no federal offence in the video that shows a Texas judge lashing his teenage daughter with a belt.

US attorney's office spokeswoman Angela Dodge said that federal prosecutors who discussed the case of Aransas County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams determined it was not a federal matter.
