Phone-hacking scandal: Legal mails from 2008 published
Emails between News of the World executives and their lawyers were published today by the UK parliamentary committee investigating the phone-hacking scandal.
The correspondence included the advice of the now-defunct tabloid’s legal chief Tom Crone to then editor Colin Myler about the case involving PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor.
It also featured the legal opinion, dated June 3 2008, of leading counsel Michael Silverleaf QC.
