Gorta: Rising food prices push 70m into extreme poverty

Rising food prices have pushed more than 70 million people into extreme poverty worldwide, according to the charity Gorta.

This year's Gorta World Food Day Conference in Dublin today will discuss the effects of increasing food prices on the most vulnerable in society.
