A group of protesters stormed the Syrian embassy in Germany's capital last night in what appeared to be a protest against the killing of a Kurdish opposition leader, police said.

A group of protesters stormed the Syrian embassy in Germany's capital last night in what appeared to be a protest against the killing of a Kurdish opposition leader, police said.

Berlin police spokeswoman Claudia Elitok said the 24 protesters tore down the fence late on Saturday and managed to enter the building where they caused some damage to paintings and furniture.
