Grandmother threw girl from bridge in the US

A US grandmother has been convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison for tossing her two-year-old granddaughter from a pedestrian bridge at a shopping centre.

The jury rejected Carmela dela Rosa’s insanity defence.
