Freed Knox leaves Rome

Amanda Knox has left Rome aboard a London-bound plane en route to the United States.

She leaves the morning after an Italian appeals court dramatically overturned the American student’s conviction of sexually assaulting and brutally murdering her British room-mate, Meredith Kercher.
