In America, services are underway to remember those killed in the September 11th attacks 10 years ago.

Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg has led the first moment of silence at Ground Zero to remember the time American Airlines Flight 11 struck the World Trade Centre.

Another silence, this time marking the moment of the second plane strike, will take place in the next few minutes.

Families have started the traditional role call of those that have died.
