Ban Ki-moon urges UN Libyan mission

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is calling on the Security Council to establish a mission in Libya to deal with the country’s new rulers for an initial period of three months.
Mr Ban said in a letter that the support mission would provide political, electoral, constitutional, human rights and other kinds of advice to the National Transitional Council as it forms a new government following the fall of longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi.
