Montenegro passes EU-friendly law

Montenegro’s politicians have passed a new electoral law as part of reforms required by the European Union to be considered for membership in the bloc.

Parliament approved the law in a 71-0 vote, after months of negotiations between the ruling coalition and the opposition.
