UK-bound plane lands over bomb alert

An airliner heading to Britain from Pakistan has made an emergency landing in Turkey after a bomb threat.

Turkish TV said the plane received the threat while it was over Bulgaria, west of Turkey, and flew back toward Istanbul to land at the International Ataturk Airport.

The flight was from Islamabad to Manchester, England.

It was not clear how many passengers were on the plane.
