US citizen abducted in Pakistan

A US citizen has been abducted in Pakistan.

Warren Weinstein was taken by gunmen from his house in Lahore.

He had been due to return to the US after working on development in tribal areas for about five years.

The abduction of Pakistanis for ransom is common in the country and several foreigners have been targeted by militant groups in the past.
