Storm waves threaten China chemical plant

Strong waves caused by approaching tropical storm Muifa are threatening to hit a chemical plant in China, raising fears of a toxic chemical spill, the state media news agency said today.

Xinhua News Agency said waves up to 65ft high broke a wall in the north-eastern port city of Dalian in Liaoning province.
