Google Plus passes 20 million user mark

Google Plus has clocked up 20 million users in less than a month.

It is the latest drive by the internet giant to challenge Facebook in the area of social networking.

Google Plus is considered better than Facebook in some aspects such as privacy, but with 750 million users, Mark Zuckerberg's company remains way out in front.

Adrian Weckler from the Sunday Business Post said that though the take-up in members has been fast, it is debatable whether people will stick with Google Plus.

"The general consensus would be that most people who have flocked to Google Plus went to it out of curiosity," he said.

"The question is whether they will stick with it."
