Eleven confirmed dead in China train derailment
Eleven people were killed and 89 others injured when a bullet train lost power and was hit by another train today, China’s state media reported.
Two of the bullet train’s carriages plunged off a bridge after the crash.
The official Xinhua New Agency said four carriages on the second train also derailed but it did not say how serious that was.
The first train was travelling from the Zhejiang provincial capital of Hangzhou when the accident happened in Wenzhou city at about 8.30pm (12.30pm Irish time).
