Fishing reforms 'will double value'

The value of Europe’s struggling fishing industry will almost double in a decade to €2.95bn under sweeping reform plans unveiled.

That was the pledge from EU Fisheries Commissioner Maria Damanaki if Europe’s governments accept the most radical shake-up of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) in its 28-year history.
