A 13-year-old boy was arrested in the UK today on suspicion of murdering a man killed in a street stabbing.

Police believe Andrew Jaipaul, 21, was attacked by a group of between 12 and 20 youths in Holloway, north London, last Sunday night.

Paramedics were called but he died at the scene.

Scotland Yard said the 13-year-old had been taken to a police station, where he remains in custody.

Two 17-year-old youths previously arrested in connection with the stabbing have been bailed until August.

Mr Jaipaul, from Finsbury Park, was attacked near Andover House, Andover Road.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died of multiple stab wounds.

Police say they are keeping an open mind over the motive of the attack.
