Gaddafi threatens attacks in Europe

Colonel Gaddafi is threatening to carry out attacks in Europe against "homes, offices and families" unless NATO halts its campaign of airstrikes.

The Libyan leader delivered the warning in a message played to thousands of supporters in the main square of the capital, Tripoli.

In the past, Gaddafi has supported various militant groups, and Libyan agents were blamed for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie.
