Protests as Bahrain court sentences eight activists

There have been protests in Bahrain as eight activists were sentenced to life in prison for allegedly plotting a coup during anti-government demonstrations earlier this year.

Twenty-one people were put on trial for attempting to overthrow the leadership.

Protestors tried to block roads to the court house to prevent the case going ahead.
