One dead, 30 injured in Baghdad blasts
One person has been killed and 30 others injured in a series of attacks in the Iraqi capital during rush-hour, officials said today.
The attacks started at about 7am when a bomb in a parked car hit a passing police patrol in western Baghdad, killing one civilian bystander. Ten people were wounded.
Officials said there were a further four roadside bomb attacks against police patrols in different parts of the city, leaving 20 other people injured.
Three medical officials in three hospitals confirmed the casualty figures.
