Tests show worrying jump in Fukushima radiation levels

In Japan, a clean-up operation at the Fukushima nuclear plant has had to be abandoned after officials became alarmed by a jump in radiation levels.

Staff working for the owners of the plant, Toyko Electric Power Company, were just five hours into the job when they noticed the rapid rise in radiation yesterday.
