Eight killed as bus overturns in Bulgaria
At least eight passengers were killed when a bus carrying 31 people rolled on to its side and burst into flames in southern Bulgaria, police said.
Plovdiv district police director Todor Chonov said six of the victims were killed instantly, while two others died on their way to the hospital.
He added that 16 injured people were taken to nearby hospitals – two of them in a coma.
The bus was travelling from the capital, Sofia, to the Black Sea city of Burgas when it overturned near Plovdiv, some 81 miles (130km) east of Sofia.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
