Eight believed dead in attack on Iraq compound

Eight people have been killed in an attack on a government compound, an Iraqi army official said today.

The assailants set off two car bombs outside the complex in Baqouba, 35 miles (60km) north-east of the capital, Baghdad. Gunmen then stormed the building and took hostages.
