UN investigate mass rape claim against Gaddafi

UN investigators are looking into allegations that Colonel Gaddafi ordered mass rapes to curb the popular uprising in his country.

This new accusation could add the charge of mass rape to the list of war crimes facing the dictator.

Investigators say there are several hundred victims in some areas.

The International Criminal Court's Chief Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, said witnesses claim Gaddafi shipped large containers of Viagra-type drugs into Libya, to help his troops fulfil the order.
