Mother questioned about claim she gave eight-year-old daughter Botox

A mother is under investigation after saying on US national TV that she gives her eight-year-old daughter Botox injections.

Kerry Campbell, who enrols daughter Britney in beauty pageants, says she got the idea to give her Botox from other pageant mothers.

Trent Rohrer of the San Francisco Human Services Agency said officials need to sit down and talk to Kerry Campbell.

Rohrer says it is unusual for a mother to inject a child with the anti-wrinkle shot.

He said his office received numerous calls from people concerned about Britney’s well-being after the ABC TV appearance.

Botox injections can be painful and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.
