Earthquake reported off Japanese coast

An 6.1 magnitude earthquake has struck off the east coast of Japan.

The US Geological Survey says there are no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.

The country is still recovering from a major quake in March which sparked a devastating tsunami, claiming 26,000 lives.
