Japan approves $49bn for quake victims

Japan's parliament has passed a $49bn emergency budget for reconstruction following the recent earthquake and tsunami in March.

It will help fund new housing for tens of thousands of people who lost their homes.

The funding will also support businesses hit by the disaster.
