Syria: Army convoy reaches besieged city of Daraa, says eyewitness
A convoy of armoured vehicles and buses packed with troops have been rolling into the besieged southern Syrian city of Daraa, an eyewitness has said.
The eyewitness said that the vehicles arrived early today, suggesting that the Syrian army is reinforcing its forces in Daraa. The city is the epicentre of weeks-old protests demanding reform and regime change in the country, ruled by authoritarian President Bashar Assad.
