Nato forces have reportedly carried out fresh airstrikes on the Libyan capital of Tripoli hitting Colonel Gaddafi's compound.

Nato forces have reportedly carried out fresh airstrikes on the Libyan capital of Tripoli hitting Colonel Gaddafi's compound.

The Libyan government claims three people were killed during the air attacks, which apparently hit the city early today.

Meanwhile, tribes loyal to Gaddafi say they will drive rebels from the besieged port city of Misrata if the Libyan army fails.
