Three killed in light plane crash

Three people were killed today when a small plane crashed in Israel, rescue services said.

They said the light civilian aircraft came down at a small airstrip in the coastal city of Haifa.

Paramedics pronounced the three people on board dead at the scene. There were no other casualties.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
