UK police given more time to quiz nightclub murder suspect
Police in Britain were today granted more time to question a man being held in connection with the murder of nightclubber Sian O’Callaghan.
Officers made an application at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning to extend the time they can hold the 47-year-old taxi driver, who was arrested on Thursday morning.
The body of 22-year-old PA Sian was found close to the Uffington White Horse in Oxfordshire the same day.
Police were today continuing to excavate a field on Baxter’s Farm, near Eastleach in Oxfordshire, for a second body they have been told is buried there.
Wiltshire Police now have until 3.15am on Monday to question the suspect, they said this afternoon.
