The US Holocaust Memorial Museum is trying to identify more than 1,000 children in photos that date from when they were scattered across Europe at the end of the Second World War and taken in by relief agencies.

The Washington museum’s Remember Me project seeks the public’s help in identifying 1,100 children among tens of thousands who were uprooted by the war.
