A US fighter jet crashed in Libya after a mechanical failure, but both crew ejected and were rescued safely.

A US fighter jet crashed in Libya after a mechanical failure, but both crew ejected and were rescued safely.

The plane crashed yesterday at 9.30pm Irish time about 25 miles south-west of the eastern rebel stronghold of Benghazi.
