Polish avalanche kills three

Three people have been killed in an avalanche in Poland’s Tatra mountains, the country’s media have reported.

The news agency PAP said that an avalanche buried the three people this afternoon.

One was declared dead at the scene. The other two were flown by helicopter to a hospital in Zakopane, a popular mountain resort in southern Poland.

However, doctors failed to save them.
