Four die in UAE plane crash

Four people were killed when a private plane crashed shortly after take-off in the United Arab Emirates, the civil aviation authority in the country has said.

A statement said the Grumman 21T aircraft went down moments after taking off yesterday at Al Ain International Airport about 60 miles east of Abu Dhabi.

The plane was en route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The aviation authority said the aircraft was destroyed and investigators were at the site.
