Thousands gather for protests in Bahrain
Thousands of people have ignored the military crackdown in Bahrain to gather for anti-government protests today.
Tanks and troops are keeping a tight security clamp across the Bahraini capital of Manama ahead of the funerals of the three people killed in police raids on anti-regime protesters.
Mourners have been chanting slogans calling for the government to be held responsible for the killings.
Officials put the death toll of yesterday's raid of Pearl Square at three, but the Shi-ite opposition said four were killed in the attack.
Nearly 200 people were wounded.
