Boat sinks killing 12 in Vietnam

Twelve people aboard a tour boat were said to be among the dead after the vessel sank in Vietnam’s scenic Ha Long Bay today.

Officials said 11 tourists and a Vietnamese guide died when the live-aboard boat with 21 foreigners on board went down at about 5am local time near Titov island. The total number of people on the boat was not immediately known.
