Almost 150 people were killed and another 510 were injured in the uprising that toppled Tunisia’s president last month, the head of a United Nations mission investigating the unrest said today.

Almost 150 people were killed and another 510 were injured in the uprising that toppled Tunisia’s president last month, the head of a United Nations mission investigating the unrest said today.

Bakr N’diaye, who heads the mission sent by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said the death toll of 147 did not include 72 people who died in prison riots.
