Pakistan: 10 workers killed in 25-storey plunge

Ten construction workers plunged 25 storeys to their death today after a platform lift collapsed at a building site in the Philippine capital, officials said.

The workers were installing glass windows on a high-rise condominium building when the platform gave way, sending them tumbling down from the 32nd to the seventh floor, said Mayor Junjun Binay of Makati city, Manila’s financial district.
