Prosecutors in Switzerland have opened a new criminal investigation against a Swiss banker who claims to have handed details of rich tax cheats to WikiLeaks.

Rudolf Elmer was arrested for questioning late yesterday, Zurich chief prosecutor Peter Pellegrini said.
