Snow-hit Edinburgh Airport to open midday

One of Scotland’s biggest airports was closed today as snowfall heralded a fresh bout of travel disruption.

Edinburgh Airport said it would be closed until midday after up to 2.5ins (7cm) of snow settled overnight, with more expected through the day.
