Colombia landslide kills 12

A landslide triggered by heavy rains has killed at least 12 people and injured 30 in south-western Colombia.

The slide buried four or five houses, several cars and a billiard hall in the township of La Cruz, said an official in Narino province.

The Colombian government and Red Cross say the year’s heavy rains have killed at least 290 people in the country.
