Stansted aims to ease pressure on Heathrow

Officials at Stansted Airport in England today said the facility was operating normally and trying to ease pressure on Heathrow.

An airport spokeswoman said a number of airlines had laid on extra flights and the airport was handling a number of re-directed Heathrow flights.
