Man attacks schoolchildren in knife attack

An unemployed Japanese man armed with a knife attacked school children and other passengers waiting on two buses outside a train station today in an incident that left 13 people injured.

Police arrested Yuta Saito, 27, on charges of attempted murder after he was subdued by members of the public during the melee outside Toride Station in Ibaraki Prefecture, about 25 miles north-east of Tokyo, said police spokesman Masaru Morita.
